Pigeon Creek Public Access Trail and Viewpoint Pigeon Creek Ribbon-Cutting: Photos Sept. 20, 2005 Click On Photo For Larger Version
Pigeon Creek, a beautiful public beach and viewpoint, is now accessible via a new Port of Everett
Public Access trail running along Terminal Avenue. Along the trail, travelers can view the port
terminal operations as well as an occasional passing train. The end of the trail boasts a landscaped
viewpoint overlooking a gentle sloping saltwater beach, abundant with much wildlife. The trail and beach, which are accessible from dawn until dusk, are protected from the secured
industrial Port terminal operations by a fence, which runs along side the trail. Pedestrians or
bicyclists can access the paved trail from Bond Street (which is about 0.6 miles long to the
view point) or from Terminal Avenue (off of West Marine View Drive). Parking is available on
Bond Street or along Terminal Avenue in designated parking areas. Two picnic tables and benches
are located at the beach site, however no other facilities are available. When visiting the site,
please abide by the posted notice. |
